The prophets teach that the greatest cause of divorce is selfishness. Couples can cope with and endure many hardships. For example, some say that finances are a big cause of divorce. However, these challenges can strengthen the relationship and not weaken it.

Two great ideas I have heard from experts in the marriage and therapy field are;

1. Get in the practice of doing something every day that you don’t want to do.
2. Every day ask your wife this question, “What is the one thing I could do for you today that would mean the most to you?”

Love is many things and it is certainly more than a feeling. For example, action is one of the most important elements of love and hardly anything speaks of love more for a wife than helping her in the kitchen and home. Additionally, for her quality one-on-one time in meaningful conversation is as important as breathing air or food and water.
