Repentance Is A Change Of Mind And Heart November 18, 2012 |
Repentance Is A Change of Mind And HeartRepentance is having a change of mind and heart. Concentrate on the sin that is giving you the most trouble, and then give most of your attention on the small sins. It is extremely difficult to commit a big sin if you worry about the small sins first.
He quotes Moses 1:13; “And it came to pass that Moses looked upon Satan and said; Who art thou? For behold, I am a son of God, in the similitude of his Only Begotten; and where is thy glory, that I should worship thee?” In my mind Moses was asserting that he (Moses) had power over Satan. Moses had to be changed to endure the presence of God (Jesus Christ) but didn’t need any extra powers to behold Satan. If we truly knew who we are, we would have no fear. Doubt and fear do not come from God, because doubt and fear doesn’t exist in them. They have ALL power and ALL knowledge, and ALL things are subject to them. What happens when we don’t know who we are? • We misbehave in big ways. • We live life with much greater fear and anxiety. A key to self-control is self-denial. Fasting is a powerful way for the spirit to control the body.
