Joseph Smith said, “We…believe in prophecy, in tongues, in visions, and in revelations, in gifts, and in healings; and that these things cannot be enjoyed without the gift of the Holy Ghost.”

Every member of the church is gifted with at least one gift of the spirit at baptism and receiving the Holy Ghost. You can be gifted with more than one gift if you desire it and live worthily for it. The church is compared to a human body. Individually, we don’t have every gift, but when you combine as a group and are united most if not all the gifts will be present. The body will suffer if one of its members are missing.
