Pride Is An Obstacle To The Three Greatest Attributes

Pride Prevents You From Acquiring The Three Greatest Personal Attributes

The Things Of My Soul

Moroni 7: 43: “And again, behold I say unto you that he cannot have hope; for without faith there cannot be any hope.”

Pride is serious because it crowds out, weakens or even prevents the three great Godlike attributes; which are faith, hope and charity. Additionally, pride is extremely expensive if it prevents us from acquiring these Godly attributes. How costly!!

Vs 46 says, “…if ye have not charity, ye are nothing.” That is pretty strong language. We might have some great talents and skills, but what good are they if we keep them to ourselves in a selfish manner. Nothing we have or are matters much if we are not charitable.

On the flipside of the coin, there is no benefit to pride; so, why do we gratify our pride and vain ambition?

Pride sifts you as wheat which makes you worthless. However; faith, hope, and charity are the cardinal attributes of divinity and make you into a powerful individual who can change the world around you.
