You and I can’t be saved in ignorance. The Lord also commanded us to seek learning by study and faith. The prophets place a HUGE emphasis on education. Spiritual knowledge is the most important. The Book of Mormon teaches that the word of God will teach you all things that you should do. Current day apostles have taught that verses of scripture are like packets of light that illuminates the soul and opens the door to revelation. Studying the word of God through the scriptures is how you gain spiritual knowledge.

You gain personal power from the scriptures by applying it to your life. By asking yourself questions; how does it apply to you, and how can you have the same thing.

Never be afraid of asking questions. The greatest teacher is the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost can teach you the meaning of a scripture that you don’t understand, and tell you what you should do about it.
