Joseph Smith revealed in the Third Article of Faith, “We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.”

Jesus Christ under the direction of Heavenly Father created this earth and billions of others like it. On the sixth day of the creation, God said, “Let us make man in our own image.” When we were first born innocent as spirit children to Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother. When we were born to earth, we were born innocent again. God created us after His own image. This is important because you can attain “to the same image, glory and character of God.” You achieve it through the atonement and living the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The end goal of God’s plan is to return you home to the Father to live with Him and crown you with celestial glory. He wants to make you an heir with Jesus Christ, give you everything He has, and grant you unlimited creative powers and abilities.
