The Presidents Of The Church Series: Joseph Smith

Joseph Smith said, “If you wish to go where God is, you must be like God, or possess the principles which God possesses, for if we are not drawing towards God in principle, we are going from Him and drawing towards the devil.”

Joseph Smith counseled you to search your heart and see if you are like God. Joseph admitted that he needed to repent as he searched his heart. It is not likely that we can repent too much, and searching our hearts will cause a deeper desire to repent.

Joseph said we must be innocent and pure to be ready for the return of Jesus Christ. Joseph warned against Satan and his powers to deceive. He also condemned self-righteousness.
