Your mind is like a stage and there is always something playing on it. That is why it is critical that you choose what is playing in your mind because if you don’t Satan will and what he shows is not pretty.

Lehi was singularly focused on God and he was not distracted by the world and what it offers. The Great And Spacious Building in his dream is a corrupted building representing the world with all the false lies and security it pretends to have. Therefore, a major lie is if most people are living a certain way then it must be normal and acceptable. Most people wear masks covering up their real pain.

If you want the power of God do the exact opposite of what everyone else is doing! Almost everyone is worshipping mainstream media and the pop culture.

This river of water represents filthiness and the symbolism of a river is powerful in this context. For example a river such as the Amazon produces massive energy and discharges a ton of water into the ocean. You can be 200 miles out in sea and still see the current of from the Amazon flowing past you. This is according to my Brazilian anthropology class.

Therefore, a river of filth is a clear and present danger to every home and is not something you can coexist with if you want to protect your family. This filth isn’t going away but it will only grow and get worse.

How does this relate to marriage and family?

If there is anything that should keep fathers up at night concerned about their children especially their daughters it is this river of filth. Girls particularly are consumed about their body image.

What supplies this filthy river? I believe the media is 90% of the problem because most people in the Great and Spacious Building think watching TV and movies is harmless fun. However, everything influences us in some way.

Discriminate very strongly the media sources you bring into your home. You can’t trust the movie rating system because Hollywood determines the ratings; therefore, they will tip the scales in their favor. That is why you can expect R rated movies to be PG-13 in the future. Batman is a good example. That is a very dark movie and should be rated R but it is PG-13. Furthermore, I wouldn’t be surprised if in the not to distant future hard-core pornography movies will be R rated and open to the public. I truly hope I am extreme in my thinking and this could never happen. However, pornography is a plague in the world and a health crisis.

Pornography destroys everything in its path.

Nevertheless, many people are complacent and others support it such as the ACLU who defends pornographers rights and pushes for more liberal laws because it means more money for them defending Hollywood.

You cannot blindly trust the movie rating system. To protect your family you should do your own review of whatever movie you are interested in seeing.
