Feeding Our Children In A Godly Way January 24, 2018 |
Creating A Home With Celestial Glory And A Piece Of HeavenBook of Mormon Marriage And Family Study1 Nephi 8: 16 “And it came to pass that they did come unto me.” What if as parents we could create a home life overflowing with God’s love? What if we could be the kind of leaders that feed our children spiritually, physically, mentally and emotionally? What if our grown children (with our grandchildren) craved to return home on a frequent even daily basis? What if everyone in the family loved to cook and frequently visited for dinner and brought something already cooked? What if every time our children visited they left edified and strengthened because they were fed spiritually, physically, mentally and emotionally? For example, delicious food brings people together and great conversation in general feeds us mentally and emotionally. This is especially true for women. If parents can be a receptacle of wisdom and knowledge with answers and help to our children’s problems they will come to us. And most importantly if
their spirits feast on the love of God through His word just like it is described in 3 Nephi 11:3 to where the spirit pierces their very souls and causes their hearts to burn; if they experience this your house will be glorious and always with incredible company.
