“I, Nephi spake much unto them concerning these things.”

If your children are converted you will not have to speak “much unto them concerning,” the things of this world. They will overcome the world on their own and do it early because of the spiritual leadership you gave them. You will be able to teach them the truth and they will govern themselves. The gospel itself will persuade them to repent because they gained faith in Jesus Christ.

Nobody repents until they have faith in Christ.

If we are teaching the gospel effectively we will not have to directly call our children to repentance.

Faith is a principle of power, and if our children are converted young they will live a powerful life. They will close the gap of where they are and God. Procrastinating closing this gap will cause them sorrow.

How powerful would it be if your children understood their mission in life and fulfilled it, instead of being lost and going around in strange roads?

How much less anxiety we would have as parents if the Book of Mormon raised our children. We would not have to worry about them making good choices or wasting their life away. The Book of Mormon will convert them to the Lord and feel the convincing power of Christ.

We don’t want to be in a position where we are always lecturing our children about their choices. We should teach them the truth (gospel) every chance we can and let the Book of Mormon raise them.
