“In that day that he shall manifest himself unto them in word, and also in power, in very deed,….”

The Proclamation On The Family says;

“We, the First Presidency and the Council of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, solemnly proclaim that marriage between a man and a woman is ordained of God and that the family is central to the Creators plan for the eternal destiny of His children.”

“The Family is ordained of God. Marriage between man and woman is essential to his eternal plan.”

The family is extremely important to God. Therefore, He certainly wants to mend every broken and dysfunctional family. The Lord has the power to do this if we will seek Him out. President Uchtdorf said things are not likely to change if we are comfortable remaining in darkness.

The Proclamation also says; “Happiness in family life is most likely to be achieved when founded upon the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. Successful marriages and families are established and maintained on principles of faith, prayer, repentance, forgiveness, respect, love, compassion, work, and wholesome recreational activities.”

The gospel saves families.
