“As I sat pondering in my heart I was caught away in the Spirit of the Lord.”

Being caught away in the Spirit is what we should strive for in our homes with our families. Being caught away means you are being filled with the Spirit of the Lord.

“Caught away” sounds like being captured by the spirit. This is what happens when you feast on the word of God. This kind of experience changes lives and families, and when experienced over and over again it converts souls and makes family members into powerful Disciples of Christ whose faith is unshakable.

This will not happen by going through the motions or by treating family scripture time as a to do list. Family scripture study is not something to fit around other things, instead everything else must fit around family scripture study. This must be the prime time family activity.
